1. Assess and document the needs of people infected and affected by HIV in Ventura County.
2. Raise and allocate funds for local HIV/AIDS programs.
3. Receive and manage matching funds from the National AIDS Fund.
4. Ensure the successful implementation of all funded programs and annually assess the overall effectiveness of VCAP’s grant making activities.
5. Foster programmatic innovation and collaboration between all agencies and organizations providing HIV/AIDS related services.
6. Broaden the public’s perception of HIV/AIDS as an important community issue.
Specific responsibilities include; participating in quarterly Advisory Council Meetings; setting overall policy, providing program oversight and strategic planning; and actively contributing and raising funds for VCAP.
We are especially looking for individuals skilled in collaboration and in networking to further VCAP’s mission and raise funds.
